is this a woody?

    ive only ever seen the term woody applied to cents but does it apply to nickles aswell. i found this today. and if it is does it add any value?

    normally that is true. But I would say that nickel is a woody too :)

    Apparently the copper/bronze alloy is harder or more sensitive to mix, but the mixing problem is far from limited to the copper coins. There have been multiple nickels posted here that have the pattern on them. After all, they are 25% copper.

    Not a very obvious pattern, but probably.

    It looks much more like one in person, it also has colors other than yellow, I have to work on toned coin photos
