Hey CT, I was thinking of buying this Maundy 4d. I was just wondering if it is real. The price on it seems good to me at $10 + shipping.

Any opinions are greatly valued. Thank you!

Can't see any reason why not. Single Maundy pieces are not that scarce and only command high prices when approaching uncirculated or in a matched set. $10 is cheap enough - I would expect it to make £10 to £15 at a coin fair.

Nice original looking grey piece, with the sort of look I like to see on a circulated silver coin. Looks like the tiniest of rim bumps at 12:00 on the reverse, but that is so subtle as to almost not be worth mentioning.

    Go for it.

    Just bought it. ;)

Now I will have both fourpence coins, the regular one and the maundy one.
