    Hey Guys,

These pictures don't do this coin justice, but they're as good as I can get on my phone. IRL the coin is extremely shiny and has a deep reflection on the reverse. The observe is a little more dull.

    Is this a prooflike coin?

No imho it is a full strike a PL you should be able to hold it up to print and read it like a mirror. And it is damaged so it's detailed.

Definitely NOT proof like. I agree with Rick, but an early date for sure!

I go with the rest - not proof-like in my opinion. Leaving aside the damage, the teeth around the edge are far too rounded and irregular.
Bear in mind, 1838 and 1848 twopence coins were made for circulation in the colonies, not just for Maundy. They turn up quite frequently in very good condition - I suspect they were not used much at the time.
