That's weird-looking. It doesn't look like a typical die crack and I can't imagine it being a chip in the field because there's nothing to chip off in the field. It looks like the top of it is laying over the 9. Are you sure it's part of the coin and not just something lying on the coin?
A deep crack then is about the only thing it could be. Atypical, as cracks are typically thinner and more irregular, but it happens.
Can't tell with the blurry picture. There is no such thing as backwards letters on dates. Either Post Mint Damage or Die Crack if it is raised. Also.. coins are minted not printed.
It isn't really a backwards letter, it's the 9 in 1954 it has something that makes the 9 look like an R that is backwards Just look at the 9
I did. You need to take a better picture. Most of your pics have shadows on them. A closer clearer pic with no shadow will help. Great Mismint! I like that!
I have mixed thoughts on this one. From the pictures I can see what appears to be a lamination from 7 to 8 o'clock which includes the rim. Better pictures could make it out to be a retained cud. If the latter is the case I would be inclined to say the mark on the 9 was a die crack.
