This is the 3rd or 4th coin I've seen like this but it's like a thin top layer has been peeled off.. which I know there's no layers lol. But it's like parts of the coin is rougher looking, and not smooth. But it is... I'm not sure how to explain it, I'm not very good at explaining things.. so here's some pics. The area I am talking about is around LIBERTY and also around the mint mark and IN GOD WE TRUST ... is this a error from the mint?

I also have a penny that has alot of lines on the obverse and reverse and they are a little bit raised... it might just be normal, but not sure.. couldn't really find anything on the internet about it so must not be anything 20191117_192011.jpg

For whatever reason, that struck thru on these modern quarters is fairly common. Plus, half dollars. Well, if I have them it's probably very common! ;)

The name of this escapes me, but it's not an error and has no added value.

What do you mean it escapes you?

"The name escapes me" is a common phrase people use when they cannot remember the name of something. The name has figuratively escaped from me.

All common. All NAV or No Added Value coins. It's late for me but that nap helped but it's what I see.

I think it’s called plating blistering.
