Is this a "filled die" error?

The rice kernels that are pointed at are supposed to appear separated like the others in this image. Is this a filled die?

A filled Die would not be that raised because less metal would flow into the incused area of the die. That could be a Die Break.

Ah! Right... Yes, like a chip came out of the die or something?

The area in question became chipped. Probably a worn Die. So the design looks filled in instead of the design you mentioned. All other coins struck with this same die will have the same appearance unless the Die Chip progresses and becomes larger.

I thought worn die too. The die is worn to the point of allowing blobby kernals, and, in my view a die break there would not be smooth, but have some edges to it. It's die deterioration imo.

I apologize in advance for using the word "blobby"...Spark
