Is this a doubled ear on a 1921 Wheat cent?

    Thanks in advance!

You'll have to talk a little louder. I don't see it.

This part in red - not a doubling?

When you take such extreme close-ups, your mind can see just about anything. You have to ask yourself, "How could this happen in the minting process?" If you can't come up with a logical answer, then it is unlikely that it could have occurred.

I still don't see any doubling.

It looks as if a Mint worker placed another obverse die where the reverse die should be, one of the dies rotated, the dies clashed, and the correct reverse die was put into place. lol

Do you really think that's possible?

Possible perhaps, but not probable. :)

    So just PMD?

Maybe you should check with the US Coast & Geodetic Survey to see if there were any earthquakes in that area at the time the coins were struck.
