    In my opinion it isnt but always check everythg and both sides especially in new coins....never knw you could find the first error in a new coin...look under penny error varieties and ull get great info... Happy Hunting

    And notice the the correct terminology is Doubled Ears.. Not double. That also goes for Doubled Die Variety
