Is this a cud, or is it too small?

Meow has found this penny with flaw on the very edge of the rim. Is this still considered a cud? WIN_20190626_02_02_53_Pro.jpg WIN_20190626_02_03_13_Pro.jpg WIN_20190626_02_03_29_Pro.jpg

    A tiny cud.

Too small to be worth anything

No, it's not a tiny cud

    It's a rim cud

The edge is not damaged so Meow ruled out a PMD strike. If it is a finned rim, where did the extra material come from?

A very small rim cud I think.

Meow has just found a penny with a good sized die chip. Meow has made a post about it to show to you all.

It's not "extra metal". It is the metal flow that oozes between one of the dies and the retaining collar that creates a finned rim.
