I was looking at this item on EBay and I wanted to take a chance that what I was looking at was a 1916-D dime. However, I didn't win the bid and probably just as well, because the guy has numerious other coins up for sell with high prices, so I figure if he has evaluated all the coins listed he surely knows if he has a 1916-D. The image could be a D or S ???

Well, if it's a 'D' someone made one devil of a purchase. Frankly, I think it's an 'S' but it's hard to say given the pics.......

Doesn't look like the exact correct shape of a D, I'm leaning towards S...

At this enlargement, it looks more like an S than a D

Thanks, Green! I got kind of burned out for a while, for a variety of reasons, and didn't feel like posting much of anything. But I am glad that I finally feel like being an active member of the site again, and I really appreciate your kind words! :)
