is this 1946 nickel a error.

    I found it when I was coin roll hunting.and possible die crack on reverse.

    Looks like a lamination error with the planchette.

    That would be a Lamination error and not a die crack. Nice find.
    Lamination on both side is a cool bonus. Not seen very often.

    Cu-Ni can look that way sometimes. Have you checked it's weight?

    Going to say no on the silver.
    But my first thought was that the piece on the obverse has been removed,
    either naturally or on purpose, so delamination.
    And then the reverse was either a planchet flaw or a lamination.
    I agree this is an error.
