<p>[QUOTE=&quot;ToughCOINS, post: 1847461, member: 20480&quot;]A followup to the show . . .</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Traveling down was difficult at best.&nbsp; While some others had a harder time getting there than I, it still took me 16+ hours to reach a frigid Orlando, versus the 4 1/2 hours US Air told me to expect.&nbsp; I missed Wednesday dealer setup completely, dropped my goods at the Security Room, and then drove directly to my room, not getting there until 2:30 AM!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Dragging my arse to the bourse on Thursday, half awake, was not good for business.&nbsp; Setting up in a fog was mistake-ridden, and when my negotiating skills proved dull, several potential customers walked off in search of better deals.&nbsp; Fortunately, the objects of their desire were rare coins, and they came back the next couple of days.&nbsp; Thursday was a washout for me, selling a solitary coin.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Friday was not much better on the selling side, but I found several nice coins to buy, and that fix was all I needed to really feel good about being in Orlando.&nbsp; By then, I had seen enough stacks of white dollars change hands to suspect they were overwhelmingly the hot commodity of the show, and that my few originally toned dollars were not going to float the boat.&nbsp; By that time, most of the great deals on dollars were bygones.&nbsp; I had to survive on what I brought.&nbsp; Friday ended little better than Thursday on the selling side.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Saturday turned things around completely . . . strong sales across better date seated and gold coinage, including those passed on Thursday, bolstered my spirits and relieved any pressure I felt to sell coins for less than I knew they are worth (quality coins in dates where quality is particularly elusive).&nbsp; I finally felt good about not having brought a stack of white dollars . . . especially since I don&#039;t much like buying those.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Departing Sunday, the weather was rainy, but warm . . . a welcome change for a New Englander.&nbsp; My flights were much better, and I caught bits of football between them.&nbsp; Hopefully, next year will be a bit more predictable . . .</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Look for some new listings soon.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;- Mike[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
