    Think Long Term

I have been investing on a regular basis in the stock market (primarily in mutual funds in retirement accounts) for about 20 years. And plan on continuing to do so regardless of daily up or down swings.

Although I have recently re-entered coins as a hobby, I will make coin purchases with an eye on the long-term investment potential as well.

I figure I will be very happy with both 5 years from now.

Elaine, look at your last two posts. In the last you said the stock market is going south "as expected." But in the prior post you indicated that you just got into the market in a fairly big way. I'm not sure why you did if you expected it to drop. Anyway, you violated the first rule of investing -- never invest money you can't afford to lose. If the loss changed your spending habits, you have too much in the market. Sell to the sleeping poing. Don't put your coin or grocery money into the market.

i just try to play it. but then, i make a mistake again. even i knew it will go down. it's a bad habit i think. and it affected my plan to buy more coins. instead i have to sell some.

    The good old stick market!

I think I know the reason the market has stayed up so long

I'm only going on my checking everyday of the Dow,Nasdaq, S&P 500 and the Bond market.

    PS

I have a lot of Barry Bonds and many more stars from the 1980's and 90's.
    Do they have any value?

many rookie cards I do not trust card dealers LOL
