Hi, this is my first post on a coin site. I was hoping for some opinions on a nickel with some damage to the reverse that appears to be a possible mint error. I will post a pic of both sides, please let me know if I need to take closer pics, 20180812_114050.jpg 20180812_114108.jpg 20180812_114050.jpg or different lighting/angles. Thank you in advance!

Just damage. Not a mint error. Keep looking.

    Welcome to Cointalk
Your coin isn't a mint error it is what we refer to as PMD(post mint damage) which means it occurred after it left a mint.JMO

Seing the condition, it is probably just a big scratch and not an error. I sometimes find coins that are run over by a car and it has the texture of the road and they usually look like the one you have there.

Welcome to CoinTalk. Your nickel is damaged, not an error, and is worth 5¢.
