    Outsourcing our coins to a company that produced fine quality coins would be a kick in the pants. Can’t they just use better materials again in the production of our coins and improve the overall design. Dump the zinc and bring back silver and copper coins. Run them for a few years, keep the production number really low, and watch the collecting end of this hobby go nuts. Put me down for Mercury in a Flash outfit! lol

    Here is a version of the original Felix Schlag nickel design. You can see the font changes on the obverse and the reverse Monticello is shown in profile, not the dull straight on view that was minted.

    Why do we still need humans such as former presidents on coins instead of the monetary numerical value and perhaps even metallic proportions. Coins can easily recycle year after year. Coin hunting will still occur as the mint still won't make
    perfect coins so errors will be made and found until AI minting equipment can check each one in microsecond or less.
