Neither did I, but can you imagine listing thousands of different type coins from hundreds of different countries within one sticky? That's my point! It would be impossible to manage all of the pages required. Chris
And why not? Yep! But... as I understand it, the mods have spoken on the topic of "post this topic in only this thread," (@desertgem @GDJMSP, @ToughCOINS, or any other mod, would you like to chime in?) and they've said they're not going to enforce anything like that. So, what we'll end up with is a sticky thread and a number of other "is it real?" threads. This is why I think a sticky would be a bad idea (for all of the forums).
Actually there would be an equal number for ancients since they cover such a long time period and such a variety of countries...Chinese cash coins...
Oh? How exactly would you suggest reacting to genteel posts like this: "Do you guys have petrified brains?" Your pal is being treated far more genteelly than he deserves.
Maybe I'm just an old fuddy-duddy, but this thread is becoming more and more embarrassing. The question was asked about help with authenticity. It was answered. How in the heck did it come to where it is now?
This person may be a helpful and constructive Coin Talk poster on some topics; I have no opinion on that. His infrequent comments in the ancients sub-forum here however are invariably clueless, antagonistic and insulting. I urge you to read them and draw your own conclusions. In the context of this sub-forum he is, quite simply, a troll. It's entirely appropriate to respond to him accordingly.
As the OP it was not my intention for it to go in this direction. All the constructive conversation is much appreciated.
