I have about $7.50 of wheat cents that came down to me from various relatives. The dates range from 1910 - 1958 and all are in decent circulated condition, but many of the earlier ones show decent wear. There are also some steelies, but many of them have a white material on them which just looks like aging steel. A few worn IHCs also snuck in to the hoard, but nothing notable. What I don't want to do is put them on ebay as "unsearched rolls" because they are not (they didn't even come to me in rolls) and I often wonder how many rolls actually are "unsearched," but that's just speculation. But the only ones that appear to sell are marked as "unsearched," presumably because buyers think that they will "strike it rich." I have this fairly strong feeling that no one in their right mind, especially a coin dealer, is going to post a coin roll for $4.00 without first making sure that it doesn't contain either a 1943 copper or a 1955 double die or some other rarity. So I'm trying to decide if I even list them or if I just dump them into a change counter and let them recirculate. Other random people may find them fascinating.
