Am I the only one who sees the 2nd T in STATES on this 1949-D penny as something else? All comments are welcomed.
No, but apparently you're the only one who lacks the common sense to realize that circulation damage is responsible for defacing several of the letters in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and you also lack the good sense to post a more tasteful avatar. Chris
heavily worn Look at the strikes on: the "R" on Pluribus by the top rim the "U" on Unum by the top rim on the middle top of the N in ONE top and bottom of "C" n CENT bottom of N in cent right of T in cent hit on T & D of United top of A & C of America and of course the Hit on TAT on States which looks like it was hit at the bottom of the first T, bounced then dragged to the right obliterating the lower right of A and pushed the T to the right. Don't forget all the hits in and around the wheats and everywhere else too. looks like a heavily circulated and damaged cent.
I should call that a "Comet Tail Damage" ... CTD ... as there's a drag before the lower part of the T is pushed over. On the bottom looks like a Comet Tail going from the first T to the 2nd.
OP removed her avatar .... the finger and a Tshirt with a certain saying on it whilst lazily draped over a chair.
lol. I think it was just "I'm your future X-wife" ... thus all the "X" comments. but Rick's post shows the hair just right ....
