they lost in court for giving inflated grades USA 1943 1C Lincoln Cent Ms-68 PCI.jpg

to insured koins.. Recent koins are not a concern for me... That being said, I got the following at an excellant price.. While I doubt that it is really ms-68, it has a special place in my collection.. Who knows, might be accurate grade

None of the slabs stack particularly well. I have coins all over my house. “Slabs to the left of me; slabs to the right of me. Slabs, slabs, slabs.” My wall built in safe inside my steel-reinforced closet is huge, and overflowing. Thus, no matter how they are designed, slabs are all over the place. I am convinced that slabs procreate, and give birth to other slabs.

Lol, for long term storage you need the boxes, but it is hilarious that you are swimming in slabbed coins.

I love it, but my wife is nowhere near as passionate with the ever increasing onslaught of slabs. ;)

    I have a suggestion...

 This thread has become FREE ADVERTIZING for ICG so my suggestion is to end it. So...

Learn to grade so you can develop your own personal grading standard and know how it relates to the commercial market and the TPGS. Then BUY THE COIN IF IT MEETS YOUR STANDARDS whether it is raw, or graded by ANYBODY. :D

I have twice as many ICG slabbed and graded coins than I do the big P.

I admit 90% of my slabs NGC but I have almost as many ICG and ANACs slabs as PCGS.. To me company doesn't matter it is the Coin and the price.. Of course PCGS carries a higher premium for the same coin.. but I don't willingly "sell" coins, so the brand of plastic means little to me :D

Never questioned any of my ICG graded slabs, but I only own several...on the other hand I have a bunch of NGC and PCGS which are very questionable. I have to say ANACS is notable for VAMs and varieties, but their grade designations are notoriously inaccurate in my opinion.

Just a guess, Jack, but I'll say the one in the middle.

I've gotten some great deals on ICG graded coins. I appreciate the snobbery that goes on with those believing you should only buy coins graded by the "Top 2"

I have sent some really cool coins to ICG- they do me well with low grade early copper. I also send them fakes including contemporary counterfeits for their educational/ counterfeit holders- only TPG I know who does that. And yes, they are outstanding with authentications.

@Maxfli yes, they got my 1797 S-139 right (the slab in the middle)!
