The Europeans drive diesel cars and most keep a quality car for 20-25 years . You can drive them until you hate them. We do not build or import small diesels pickups like we use to. They would get 30 + in town and high 30s open road. With electronic injection , ECMs , pump systems and soot filters they are cleaner and pretty agile. Better mass transportation for the whole country. Coal to jet fuel.</p><p>The Air force is doing this now. They hope to have the air fleet 50% on synthetics by 2010 .
