It is obviously the "F" of "OF" and the "A" of "America" transplanted to the obverse but it sure would be cool to know how rare it is. I haven't found a match yet. I have a couple that were either missed by hunters or were never seen. Or maybe they just threw them back in the pond thinking they didn't count. Sucks for them. Edit: Not a couple of "this" just to be clear. A couple like this, weird and outside the box of anything I've seen photographed, but unique. Sorry about that.
I have been seeing so many strange coins lately.. interesting Pictures of the full Obverse and Reverse please!
I know, isn't it crazy? I can do that, give me a few. They have to be resized yadda yadda for this forum.
Great pick up ! To my eye on the obverse the vertical looks too close to the "A" to be the "F" of "of". Could it be the TA or the first vertical of "M" in America?
Staring at it using a 20x loupe I can say it is a strong A incuse preceded by a strong incuse vertical column that could be the vertical of an F, T, or I. I figured it for an F because of the oF America on the reverse.
