Is eBay charging sales tax on coins now?

Yep. Like many things in our state, it's a complicated mess. Virtually all of the numismatic material that I buy for resale is either non-US (ancient & medieval) or not legal tender (tokens), and often less than $500. Fortunately, I was hit with only one small sales tax charge on a civil war token before I was able to have my eBay account exempted. I don't often have much good to say about eBay but I must admit that my tax exemption request was handled quickly and efficiently.

Now back to preparing for Elsa ...
