I called the mint a day or two ago. The rep said there is no known release date yet but 2009 lincoln cents were released to " qualified buyer due to the unprecidented demand" meaning big coin houses and HSN. They had a sale of a 2009 Lincoln cents UNC set which included a roll of P and a roll of D mints. Plus two free certifacations for ANACS. All for $49.95 including shipping. This sold out in one day I believe. That's it. They'll tell us when they find out anything. OH! The rep said the mint will be offering the 4 coin reverse proof sets and I believe the UNC sets too.. Thats something.
Call me crazy, but I ordered coins from HSN for the first time. Really, with the 2 free grading submissions this is a decent deal. I have so many coins I want slabbed, this is pretty cool.
I decide to take a look on ebay and see if they were still going for $100/roll, saw a roll for $162 with 12 bidders and 3 hours left to go
http://www.hsn.com/collectibles/200...l-edition-coin-set-autoship_pf-402976_xp.aspx I think this is a good start until the proofs come out.
I would call you crazy BadThad but having seen enough of your posts on a different forum I'll refrain. The two submissions is a decent deal no doubt cuz I sure wouldn't pay that for $1.00 face in new Lincolns!
Or, order multiple sets from HSN for about $60/set, including shipping, and resell them on ebay for: $30/roll $10/'slabbed' coin Assuming you can make up your ebay fees in the shipping and handling, you make $20 profit/set, plus you get two ABSOLUTELY free gradings/set. My head is not just a hat rack :goofer:
