I think JA posted one of these a couple of months ago and I stated then that one day I will get one of these. But not yet. Nice one Oki.
Nice one, Oki. A drachm with a similar design recently joined my collection. IONIA, Ephesos Circa 202 - 162 BC AR Drachm 4.17g, 18mm Ekatokles as magistrate SNG von Aulock 7826. O: Bee between E-Φ R: Stag standing right, in front of palm tree, magistrate's name to right.
I'm not sure I'm seeing a "K" there, Oki, but your guess is as good as mine. There is a very extensive list of issues of Ephesos sorted by magistrates names in the link below. Maybe you'll find yours there: http://www.beecoins.com/list/Magistraten Ephesos.pdf Edit: I don't see a "Kyandros" there, but I think the attribution from yours is copied from this CNG one, and it does look like "Kyandros" there: https://www.cngcoins.com/Coin.aspx?CoinID=138201 Also, I would go with "SNG Cop 265-6 var" myself, since 263-4 are for issues more than twice the weight (>4g).
The auction house went with "Very Fine", but honestly I don't pay much attention to grades these days.
Buzzzzzzzzz Ionia Ephesos AE19 Ionia Ephesos AR Drachm Ionia Ephesos AR Tetartemorion => awesome taste in coins, Oki (you rock!!)
Mine is of average quality - a dealer threw it into a larger lot for ten bucks. It appears to be a smaller denomination at 1g, 8mm.
