Hello, My name is Christine and I am new here. I just found this forum. Looks like I am the only female paper money collector here? Let me briefly introduce myself. I became interested in paper money when one summer while we were in the U.S. visiting family in Michigan, a (distant) relative in Kentucky gave me some paper money as a child. Found a place not too far from where I live that sold paper money sometimes. Several years later my father lived in Australia for a few years (working for the Dutch government). I visited there several times and found a small place that dealt in paper money. I picked up quite a bit there. Subsequently life overtook my collection and it sat on a shelf for 16 years. The other day I ran into it again and my interest was revived. Back then I collected more or less everything. As a result I have a bit of everything. The most interesting notes in my collection I find to be a few MPC's I picked up somewhere. I have decided that I would like to focus on MPC's, Allied Military Currency and perhaps Japanese Invasion Money (found some of that in Australia, but I understand there are quite a few forgeries floating around? How can you tell?). Reason I chose these is mainly for historical interest. For the foreseeable future condition of notes I would buy is "nice to have" but not critical at this point. I plan to sort through my collection one of these days and figure out what I want to keep that isn't in the categories I mentioned, and which notes I would like to sell or trade. I am pretty sure that 99% is worth very little, and nothing is worth a great deal. Which leads me to my first question: Any suggestions one where to sell/trade notes, other than on eBay? And follow on: What is the best/safest way to ship notes? Regards, Christine
