I just got this coin today. It is supposedly a Malacca Keping, from I am guessing is what is now Malaysia? There is one listed in my standard catalog that is denomination as a fraction, and one as a single number, i'm sure that this is the fraction one. The seller said he thought it was date A.H. 1237, but there is no A.H. 1237 listed in my catalog, can anyone read the correct date? The only dates I can find for it are: 1219, 1241, 1147, 1247, 1251 and 1411. Malacca2.jpg Mallaca1.jpg

The date is 1247- the third digit is the Persian/Malay variant form of 4, which does look kind of similar to 3.

Thanks you guys, I found it interesting that in my standard catalog it says that these were minted in England on behalf of merchants in Singapore. A big part of why I enjoy collecting coins is learning about history like this through them.
