I&#039;d pick up ten rolls, pull the keepers, toss the remainders into a mint bag, go back a day later, get fifteen more rolls, and so on. I wasn&#039;t taking the returns back regularly, and even when I did return them it was to a different bank altogether- a practice I&#039;ve since ceased. I thought my play was safe and I kept my mouth shut- even the time I was handed a roll that had a silver coin on each end. <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie8" alt=":D" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /> This went on for a couple of weeks (wish it had been longer) until one day I went into the same bank branch to get 15 more rolls. The teller said she had to talk to a manager first.&nbsp; <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie11" alt=":rolleyes:" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /> I got a bad feeling......</p><p><br /></p><p>I stood there waiting for maybe 10 minutes while she spoke to this manager. Finally she returned to help me and said that she couldn&#039;t sell me any more rolls of halves because they needed to keep them for their commercial customers. I thought that was bogus, but really, what could I say? I asked to speak to the manager and was directed to the same person with whom the teller had just spoken.</p><p><br /></p><p>Without actually saying so the manager told me that I was going through too many halves. She wanted to start selling me boxes of $500 for a $20 processing/handling fee. I asked her how many rolls I could go through a week and still get them for free. She said 30 or 40, and I suggested 25. That is where things have been ever since. OK, once in a while I sneak in and get extras, but they are used to seeing me every Tuesday. I hand them a mint bag of exactly 500 coins (I replace what I pull with culls) and ask for 25 rolls in return. All seems well and I try not to rock the boat.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
