Interesting Find From Circulation

1909 VDBI Almost removed
I've only been collecting coins for about a year and a half. But it grabbed me good and II dove in.
I'm blessed and cursed with being Eidetic, and as much as I've researched every type of variety and coin I Haven't seen a claim for this.

Ive read mint workers initially removed the VDB from the back of the 1909 wheat reverse.
However they missed the bottom third of mine. It is still present enough to verify however hard to get a picture of with a cracked camera.
Is this common.
