Rare off Metal Error."
My best find I am sending it in today. 1988 D DRV-006 (1989 reverse) Extremely scarce transition coin (I believe)
10gary22, where are you obtaining your variety info from? I was unable to locate it on coppercoin, lincolcentresource not coneca. Thanks
http://www.lincolncentresource.com/Featured/1988RDV6.html It's listed under the top 50 die varieties as #50. Read the page and let me know what you think ?
Several years ago I received a 1900 Indian head in pocket change. I have it sitting beside a 2000-D cent. I'll have to get a P & S cent to complete the 2000 century. Who knows if future generations will keep adding to the 'century' collection. A few months ago my brother gave me two war time nickels. I'm tickled with every find. Hey, 'tickled' sounds kind of goofy. Oh well, the moment fits.
I have been having so much luck lately, i found 1984 double ear a week ago and a 1997 double ear last nite. This is the kicker guys, the 1984 -> has a third ear lobe. I think im the first to have such a coin because I havent heard of any info on a 1984 cent with 3 die states!!! I will be posting pics later on this week..
I'm blind or something. I've looked at the double ear photos in coin books, but I just don't 'see' the double. I hope your pic is clear. I might be able to see the double/triple. I find the pics of double dies hard to view in the books. Maybe I just need to hold the coin in my hand to see the depth.
Well you will see it clear as day like I did. I was the same way until my first find. I seen it with the naked eye. I was screaming...LOL
