    Delaware Statehood Quarter, BU.

Somebody must have decided to take it out of their collection and spend it.

  4. When I was working at Taco Bell, I found 4 full rolls of AU-BU silver dimes, all from 1949-1962. Of course, my bro stole them from me and spent them at face value. What a jerk!

Collecting money from the office soda fund cash box today, I found a series 1963 B $1 bill that appears to have spent most of the past 40 years being used as a bookmark.

'56 silver quarter in AU condition on the side of the road (would have been an AU if it wasn't run over by a few cars. It's just worth melt now)

couple of merc dimes too worn down to read the date

    buff nickels now and then

Stopped at the bank today and an older gentleman asked the teller next to me if he change exchange some coins for paper money. He was given approval, and brought a satchel back in. I know of at least several times when older folks have brought change in to that bank and had it turn out to be all silver. So as he moves in to the window I was vacating, I offered to buy all of his change. There were $240 in quarters and $28 in nickels. I go home and the first roll I pick up (recycled wrappers with one end still the crimped open end style) has a 1946 quarter showing on the end! I was getting pumped up! Unfortunately, that was the only silver coin in the whole 24 rolls. About a dozen of the state quarters had colorful toning on them, so I saved those as well. The nickels had nothing older than 1964.

Searching half rolls the other day and see what appear to be a 90% and a 40% from the edge. Pick them out and they turn out to be a 1930 Panama 1/2 Balboa and a 1966 Panama 1/2 Balboa.

Recently found a 2002-S (yes, proof) cent in a roll of cents from the bank. It is a little fingerprinted and lightly scrachted but still looks great!

I picked up a box of halves today. I've been through 25 rolls and found 2 64s and 8 40% silver coins. Best box I've had in a while. It would be nice if the 2nd half of the box had the same results.

Last night I went to the local gas station to get some lottery tickets , no winners , but the guy in front of me paying for his beer did not have enough money so he went out to his car and came back in with a roll of pennies in a very old roll , paper was very aged , so as soon as he moved out of my way I told the clerk that I wanted that roll , have not opened it yet but there is a wheat on one end and a 1957 on the other , I have come close a thousand times to open it but I can`t decide on just putting it in the safe as is.

I would open it, but then I'm just a kid with no experience. Of course I would open it carefully, and place each coin on tissue or towel paper.

I've found some wheaties in circulation, along with a few old nickels.
