From searching 40 rolls of pennies: 1935 1937-S 1946 1950 1952-D 1952-S 1 Pfennig lots of stupid canadian pennies The two "S" pennies were from the same roll too.
I got a real nice 43S nickel from the vending machine at work yesterday. got to eat and a silver nickel to boot JD
Yeah, so I got 15 rolls of halves and found 43 silver coins, 11 of them 90%. Found a 1943 walker and two Franklins 1958 and 1962. Dude these Franklins have so much detail on them, and they're so shiny, yet they're a bit tarnished. It's like they've never been circulated. There were quite a few AU silver halves. So yeah, I'm like, really happy.
Nice finds. I like finding Franklins more than anything else when searching Kennedys. I remember the first one I got. I carried it around with me for an hour before I put it down!
I got a box of pennies and nickels and 9 rolls of halves from various banks around town this week. Grand totals: 5 wheaties, nothing good. $80 in BU bison D nickels. (Sold $40 face to dealers around town for $3.50/roll.) No silver nickels, 1 1942-D nickel. No silver halves, but two BU rolls of bicentennial halves, still stamped 7/17/1975. Used $50 in halves to further my coin collection with a couple more Dansco Albums and some silver. ~AJ
Today I got my first Peace Nickel in change from the vending machine. The espressos aren’t that good, but the coin return is a thrill a minute.
spare change My daughter found a 1964 dime the other day, and I was suprised when I got a mid 40's wheat penny in au condition with most of the mint luster still on it. Not very valuable but cool to get in change from a gas station.
Searched an interesting bag of halves yesterday and today. Two firsts: A weird, golden Kennedy Half, 1991-D A 1982 George Washington 250th Commemorative Half (90% silver) Plus: Walkerx1 Frankiex1 64x4 65-70x20 Proofsx2 Willie
that's more than interesting Willie, that bag was flat out phenomonal!! It's bags like that the keep me looking!
I went to my local Sky Bank today and got 10 rolls of dollar coins. I checked all of the 2000-P dollars for the CHEERIOS reverse but did not find any. I did find a nice 1980-s proof SBA dollar and a 2002-p Sac.
Is the 80S a proof or a circulation strike? There were 20.4 Million business strike SBA's made in 1980. IIRC, the 80S SBA is the last (most recent) S mintmarked coin made for regular business strike distribution. (The 81S SBA had a bunch of business strikes too, but they were only distributed in mint sets).
Charlie- Nice! That looks like a proof to me. Good find! I went looking (at banks) for Ocean in View nickels this morning and this is what i found: 10 rolls of Denver Buffalo nickels, 2 rolls of Philly Ocean nickels, and 13 silver Roosevelt dimes that were sitting in one of the tellers' trays! All in all, worth my time.
Went to the local Farm and Home yesterday to pick up some wood glue for one of my other hobbies. I got back about 48 cents worth of change and as she was taking it out of the register I saw this really shiny penny and thought it was neat-but it had to be a recent date. Then I saw the other side and saw the wheat penny design! At first glance I thought it had a Denver mintmark-but in the car I examined more carefully and realized it was a proof!
5 years ago my grandma gave me a coin in a cherioes packet, so I looked and guess what I found a cherioes saq still in the package.
