Or, perhaps my expensive &quot;Light Satin&quot; G.C. was improperly graded? Does my &quot;Regular&quot; Grand Canyon qualify for a crossover into &quot;Light Satin&quot;, as well? The difference between the 2 Grand Canyons is NOT what I would expect, and, the difference in finishes is, IMHO., minute...My SP70 Yellowstone is what I would consider a &quot;Normal&quot; SP strike, again, with a very granular finish that is instantly recognizable...I don&#039;t think &quot;Die State&quot; plays into&nbsp; this..here&#039;s why..I have EDS coins...they ALL have the normal &quot;Rough&quot; Vapor Blast finish, and, are &quot;normal&quot;...I also have LDS strikes..with much more granularity, die wear, die sink, and &quot;orange peel&quot; affect.....so, the theory that an &quot;Early(First Strike&quot; coin would be &quot;smoother&quot;, is a moot point, as they are not supposed to be smooth at all. Part of me thinks some of the Bullion Planchets got mixed with Sp Planchets, and created this mess, plus, a acid blast goof up, to create what I am seeing.(All were, and, are Minted in Philadelphia...these &quot;mixups&quot; have happened in the past(wrong metal 1974 &amp; 1977 Silver clad IKE Dollars, meant for San Francisco, Minted in Denver, for example)</p><p>Bottom line...My coins need a complete examination by someone in the know...and that&#039;s not me...very few dealers collectors have this knowledge, and, have handled enough of these to be an expert, but, enough have to seek them out for help.</p><p>Opinions welcomed on how to proceed...an expensive proposition to just send in as &quot;crossover&quot;, but, I suppose at worst, they come back as is, in original holders...for a fee...at best..new knowledge, and, maybe new labels..and, a large jump in value..</p><p>So...do me a favor..check YOUR 2010 SP ATB&#039;s..let me know if I&#039;m &quot;seeing things&quot; again...hopefully not, and,&nbsp; this discussion will move forward.
