Very interesting article. I will add something that my Fiancée and I were talking about recently, in Spanish the word for gold is oro. When one says they pray they say "yo oro" .. I pray, I gold?
Sounds too good to be true ... The Latin origin of the noun oro = gold is "aurum" (hence the "Au" in the periodic system). The verb orar = pray comes from Latin "orare".
