It's too bad you don't have an interest in numismatics...it's a really interesting hobby and your Grandfather gave you such a nice start...oh well.

I think you should hold on to grandpa's coins.he held on to some nice coins for the family.I am sure he would agree. I am a 4th gen collector.
one day you may change your mind?

You really have some unique and excellent looking coins. Please keep them, don't sell them just for the money. They are historical art pieces that were in the hands of many people who came before you, including your grandpa. Cherish them please! I would love to have a collection of coins like that!

Thanks for everybody's advice so far. I sold one of the 1922 dollars on ebay last week just to test the waters and netted $28 after all fees and shipping. Not bad!

I am going to list some more items and want to make sure I am describing them accurately. I am attaching pics of a 1927 quarter and 1934 dollar. The quarter had writing on its holder that said UC so I am assuming it is uncirculated. Would anybody venture a guess on a grade?

The dollar didn't have any writing indicating its grade, but it sure looks like its in excellent condition to me. Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

One day a collector will inherit a collection like this!!!

But grandparents left him this and it may have been to leave him with something of value that he can in trade get the cash if needed. I have a daughter that has no interest in coins but hopefully she will do what he is doing to get the most value for his inheritance.

By the way I'm waaayyy jealous!!!
