This being my first contest Im going to keep it simple with only a few simple questions to answer....nothing difficult at all. Perhaps some of you know most of the answers from memory. So here it goes.........

Q.- How many ounces of gold are currently stored at Ft. Knox?

Q.- On what date was the first coin struck at the Carson City

Mint and what coin was it?

Q.-The Largest denomination of currency was the $100,000

Series 1934 Gold Certificate...whos portrait was on that note?

Q.- How many different sets of coins am I currently collecting?

Go ahead and post your answers and whoever gets them all right and the closest answer to the last question will win. The prize? Back in 1983 in the Phillippines there was a 50 Centavo coin struck with a spelling mistake. The bird depicted on the reverse of this coin is misspelled "Pithecobhaga". The mint caught this mistake and issued coins with the correct spelling of "Pithecophaga". The winner will recieve an example of each one of these coins housed in a deluxe cardboard 2x2..lol. Contest will end in 6 days, Sat. Jan. 13 no later than noon that day EST. Have fun with this and thanks in advance for playing!!!!
