    Me I like em cleaned or not, what you guy's have to remember is that these coins might well be readily available in the US :smile But over here in the UK and I would assume in Canada not so numerouse. Yep we can buy them on evilbay but then you have to factor in the shipping costs so overall for $3 a go I think Twiggs got a rather good deal :hug:

    To a degree yes, but there is more than that. On the '09 look at that date area - you can still see the corrosion around the 1 in particular. You can also see it, on both coins, in all of the little recesses around the legends and devices. But it is missing everywhere else - that's because it was removed, most likely with a steel brush on the end of a high speed drill. And that's what created the vertical lines.

    Your absolutely right De Orc..never see them here. Only US coin we see are the small change in the cash drawer. Im sure somebody has cleaned them but I just dont see them as being whizzed.

    Im still working out the best resolution on my scanner..those were set at 1200

    oh yes..I value everyones opinion so all comments are good :)
