hi, any one intrested in knowing about the mintmarks on indian coins with scans? pl visit. http://www.bharatcoins.com/coins_study_articles.html nice coin scan and details first time on web for republic india coins thanks bommi
hi, they are non silver coins of india and are no longer used. thanks bommi www.bharatcoins.com A website on Coins od INDIA
A lot of the old Indian coins appear to be almost impossible to find in unc. Apparently no one cares though. Prices are low on all of them. With all the melting going on some of these coins are scarce in any grade. It's ironic that something like the 10R '69 Ghandi coin with a mintage around 10,000 can be in such tiny demand that it can be bought for melt. Imagine if a few of the one billion Indians decided they wanted coins like this. It wouldn't surprise me if some of the high mintage coins had even fewer survivors.
10 rupee gandhi coin hi, for ur info 10 rupee gandhi coin was minted in millions not 10000 as quoted wrongly in some books. thanks
prices are rising through the roof. the proof had a limit of 9967 not the unc and that coin cannot be bought for melt. Hoevevr you are right in that the collector base for indian coins is pretty low
