My only question is...what's the difference between an "Indian Buffalo" and a Buffalo Indian...? :woot:

when i get dateless ones i nic-a-date them, and whatever catalouge is for g-4, i usually sell for half if rare, or 25 cents if not, there really is not much more to do..

I think those should get a G-4 cuz you can tell exactly what date it is

Now want to find out the date or a likely chance the op specimen would be correct?
You have several clues on the reverse, mm style mm placement, as well ddr's .....
Play detective and study the reverse, then go to the site and study all S mint marks as well placement.
You may never be 100% sure but it should put you in the ball park.

There's 21 years S mint marked Buffalos . My best educated guess which I am 80% sure .....wouldn't bet the house, but the family room, and half bath....lol
    This dateless buffalo nickels is an 1918 S. DDR 1918SDDR001A FIVE.jpg 89009D76-5BE1-41AA-8D9C-5636FC20B3C6.jpeg.jpg

Given what I see on the op specimen as the clues I used....to match the most probable date. Also DDR's are not as much in demand as an DDO are sought after more so.....plus most are minor doubled dies that draw less interests.
