1 rupee 1954, nikel, weight - 11,7 g., size - 27,9 mm, thickness - 2,65 mm, mintage unknown. Mumbai Mint. Such coins were released at 1950 and 1954.

Love those Indore sun face rupees...this one is labeled as 1878.I see AH 1294 on the reverse image.

 

My grandson is 1/4 white American, 1/4 Japanese and 1/2 India Indian, born in 2019, so he has a US Proof set and two Japanese Mint sets (two emperors that year), but India has eluded me...this is what I have so far, and the 20 rupee is dated 2020...
