These were in a lot purchased in July that I only identified tonight. Bombay Presidency - Half Rupee, AH1243 1827 KM#259.2 Bombay Presidency - Rupee AH124X KM#260.2
Another one from July lot. I think I have this correct. Hyderabad - 1 Rupee Sikandar Jah, 1242/23 (1827)
Arakan, Sanda Thudhamma (1652-85) - Tanka, 1014 BE (1652 AD). Name and date both sides, counterstamp of triangle made of 3 dots.
Delhi Sultans, Nasir al-Din Khushru, BI 2 gani, (AH720/AD1320), One year issue, short reign. Fairly scarce.
I normally don't venture into the World Coin area. Anything after 500 AD is more modern than I collect - so I hope I don't break any important norms adding this Indian coin to the thread. Although the Ancients of the Western Kshatrapas and Kushan empire are more familiar to me - I picked up this coin and I am having trouble getting the attribution. Hoping someone on this thread might know more. What I think this is: Silver Kori, 15mm 4.63g, of Bahadur Khan III of Junagadh; AH1300-1309 Kutch, Desalji II, AH 1234 / AD 1883 Mint: Bhuj Obv: Muhmmad Akbar II, nagari Shri Diwan Rev: Nāgarī and Persian legend Ref: KM C53 I do not find something similar - Edit: corrected with thanks to @coin_nut and Zeno.
Weight and size is correct for AR kori, and I am thinking Kutch-Bhuj. The right hand image has the dagger symbol at 6 o'clock, pointing to the left rather than right as on most such coins. I am looking around on zeno.ru now. Also I think I see Arabic numerals 1270 on the right hand image. Please take a look at this link: https://www.zeno.ru/showgallery.php?cat=6256
Here's one that is more in my time zone : Bactria, Indo-Greek Kingdom, Apollodotos II Soter Philopator, circa 80-65 BC, AR Drachm (19mm, 2.2g) Obv: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΩΤΗΡOΣ ΚΑΙ ΦΙΛΟΠΑΤΟΡΟΣ / ΑΠΟΛΛΟΔΟΤΟΥ Diademed and draped bust right Rev: Athena Alkidemos left; monogram to lower left
4 annas 1920, copper-nickel, weight - 6,8 g., size - 24 mm, mintage - 1665559 pcs. Engraver: Edgar Bertram Mackennal. Bombay Mint. Such coins were released at 1919-1921.
I work as a doctor. There are a lot of patients with coronavirus infection. It's very hard to work! Exhausting. But it's my duty. Tomorrow I will be on duty at the hospital again for a day. Among the infection.
