India Fanam

    I am told this is an India Fanam. It is approx 8 mm wide. Weights 0.3 grams / 4 grains. I find many Fanams for different regions of the middle east.

    Can anyone further identify the coin?
    Region it came from?
    Year or approx age?
    What was it's trading value?

    I can't help with the type attribution, but yes, it definitely looks like an Indian fanam.

    I like those little cuties. Not much gold value there and I'm not sure if there are rare varieties or not. Guess $10-$30
