Mass-produced, Machine-made, Mass-marketed, over-priced (unless melt value), over-hyped, over-produced, artificial “rarety” modern coin. No real history to it. No interest to me... and I have been in the Manufacturing industries for over 40 years.

Not my favorite LIBERTAS coin. I'd have to say this one is (only because it's my most recently acquired; I'm fickle that way):

In my opinion not ancient at all. The fields are too flat. The style is wrong.Probably machine pressed. I’d say it’s a modern imitation...

Unless it was struck by a visionary seer in ancient times there is no way it could be ancient. Still, a nice coin and it beats having the current POTUS on there if that could ever happen! In Steve we Trust

QUIZ. Here is an ancient coin directly related to the OP coin. How so? (Old timers, let the newbies try to figure it out first please.)

...if you've read the old Celator article or found the couple of CT threads where it was discussed ;).

I am probably the ONLY person in CT that has no smartphone.;)
Also proves how "ugly" some modern coins are today, compared to classic coinage. Thankfully the UK still makes a beautifull Sovereign in the old design.

I don't have a smart phone I have one of the old flip types which is usually off unless I am in another city and need to call somebody. It is a LG unit I bought in 2011 hardly ever use it. I tried to find a picture of it no luck. It is really discontinued.
