I just thought this would be an interesting little error coin to share. Like always, I was browsing the eBay site and stumbled upon this. This coin reminded me of the once VERY popular &quot;Black Beauty&quot; Jefferson Nickel and all of the stories behind what ACTUALLY happened that day at the mint, though most are only rumors. I have never seen a &quot;baked&quot; (improperly annealed) Sac. dollar and was unsure of what one would look like due to the color and the unusually mixture of elements; one being Maganese.
