Imperial Eagle

    I hadn't looked at my modern German coins for a while now and came across this nice (and scarce) Reichsmark minted in 1873 at the Hannover mint.

    What struck me was the obverse toning...prettier in hand than in the picture.

    Love it :).

    Shouldn't it be Imperial Eagles? o_O.. I see 2 of them.

    Call me narrow-minded but when it comes to eagles, I don't thing anything really competes with the St. Gaudens Double Eagle.
