I'm sure it's nothing but... 1944 jacked up penny

    This penny just caught my attention while I was going through some old rolled up pennies I have. I'm sure it's probably just human caused but I seen the number that looks like an 8 like above the N and T in cent on it so figured I would see what y'all thought about it.

    My father was a collector since he was a kid and unfortunately I can't ask him about it.

    I see what you mean by the number 8... but it is nothing
    What I do see on the Reverse is a Lamination Error and Circulation wear on the Obverse side (front of the Cent)

    Yeah, I definitely see the lamination error just that number that made me wonder...
