I agree wholeheartedly with your skepticism and I totally avoid those rolls on ebay that always claim "Indian head at the end" or "mercury dime in roll". As a matter of fact, I have only purchased one roll of pennies from ebay and it isn't even here yet. I live in a small, rural farming (dairy cows and plenty of Amish) town of maybe 1500 people spread over many, many miles. There have been several elderly members of the community who have recently passed, and the families are currently cleaning out the homes. Everybody really does know everyone in town. As I had previously stated, there was a mix of 60's and 70's in that roll, with the only AU coins being 1980 (2 of them). I also have mentioned on other threads that in our tiny grocery store that I used to work in, I obtained silver certificates that somebody used to purchase groceries. People around here literally don't take the time to understand that there are many coins out there worth more than face value (except our jeopardy champion who had a huge run that got him into the Tournament of Champions last year ) but they are taking notice now and want to learn!
