I'm feeling intimidated. Is this hobby easier than it looks?

No I don't use it very often, but then I haven't had that one very long.

To save an image on your computer just right click on it and then click on Save Picture As. Pick the file where you want to save it to and click on Save.

That will allow you to attach the image in your posts if you want. But attachments are always at the bottom of your posts.

So if you want to use smileys in your posts at the appropriate place then you have to use the Insert Image tool. And to do that, the image has to be hosted on the internet someplace. Photobucket is such a place.

Then when you want to use the image, just click on the Insert Image icon at the top of your posting dialogue box. It's the square yellow one right below the left return arrow.

When you click on it a little dialogue box will open. You then paste the url of your image into that box and hit the Enter key on your keyboard. That will insert the appropriate code for the image into your post, at the appropriate place. Then finish your post and submit it.

Sounds complicated but's it's really very simple and only requires a few clicks to get it done.

Doug for being so advanced in your age you not only seem rather good with computers but seem to be of a level of expertise to take that expertise for granted. I just figured out how to post a darn picture. Although I do think there are alot of emoticon's here.

That's sort of what I've been doing in spirit with some of the recent pics I've posted up along with my posts... just wasn't sure about protocol... thanks for clarifying :thumb:
