If you had a choice, which would you buy first with $1,000.00? POLL

The $500 is tempting though that scan makes it seem a bit light. If it was a St. Louis note it would be a no brainer for me since I collect that district FRNs. Had it been several other districts a thousand would be a bargain, even more so if a star note, but Richmond is one of the more common ones and values close to $1k in (inflated) guide book prices. Also the paper seems wrinkly and distorted like it has been wet and dried out, not sure about that.

So then it was down to the Edu and Chief notes. I would have gone with the Chief had there not been a heavy horizontal wrinkle across his face. The stains are unfortunate but I would have accepted it with those stains at this price since the stains don't interfere with the portrait although the paper tone is a bit off all over. So for me, based much on the $1k price and eye-appeal, it's the Educational note even with the heavy trifold and stain behind Youth's head and things that make the value hard to determine on a questioned grade, for me. The Educational note also gives us the greatest information having shown BOTH sides of the note to assess the purchase.

You can't beat that Educational Note .

 

Well, I'd like to have them in a little better condition, but the top runners in my collection would be the Educational or the Chief. After some thought, I think I'd go for the Educational note, though. I believe that both notes look good in any grade, but I think that the educational note would look better with a little wear than the Chief. At any rate, I'd have an educational note, and I'd be happy with it.

I already have the silver chief. I would go with the educational with the $500 2nd.
