Looks like it took a hit as did on the cheek. Doesn't look doubled to me.

It's not a doubled ear. I found one of those in my wife's coin purse. The second ear is not subtle.

You have to remember this coin is circulated... rubbing against other cpins perhaps and people handling the coin would take away from its subtlety.

Take a look at the chin, so you mean to say that's Die deterioration doubling

20161027_124027.jpg tip of first ear lobe, just like the sample picture, lines up with the jaw line, and to the left of the jaw line just before it angles to the chin, appears to be a raised anomaly with an impression like appearance

Note that I said the second ear is not subtle, not that it is subtle.

So it's not the 1984 doubled ear may I ask?

With all due respect, Justin; you're making excuses and trying to find a way to hold onto the possibility the coin is something it simply isn't. This happens a lot and we're all susceptible to it, but it doesn't change the fact that your coin, unfortunately, isn't the hoped-for variety. That said, there's always a slim chance that another "doubled ear" variety could exist, but unfortunately I see no evidence suggesting as much in your posted photos.
