So I bought this unique little coin a few moths ago and haven't been able to ID it...yet. Today I was looking at a whole bunch of my collection and decided to look one more time at this coin. On the obverse I saw: *ALBA*. I literally freaked out and drove straight to my LCS. The dealer thought the same as me and we still got nowhere. It's possibly a Galba? The face looks like him of course, but it could be an Antoninus Pius as well. By the weight I'm guessing its an AS--if its as early as I think. If not, and it's later, it's an AE 3. Anyone willing to help or ride me on my quest is greatly appreciated.
Thank you, i'm a bit disappointed , but what denomination is it. and is that a deer or elk on the back, I'm looking the coin up?
Often we don't know what the provincial coins were called, denomination-wise, and simply have to describe it by its diameter. That is the case with this coin. https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=2224797

This is unrelated: TIF, Thank you for taking the time to reply on my recent posts, I'm glad to have a professional guiding me from time to time.
Don’t feel badly. I love looking at these coins but these guys lose me when they clear their throats.
There's always hope.....abandon the 'dark side' and seek the light....be not blinded by these devilish wretches who haunt this 'ancient forum' and take up 'modern' coins as collectable...... I'm kidding...... Many friends here have given me much insight into the 'dark side'......evil, deceptive ,conjuring, conjoling, and lovely friends. I'll bite down on the cyanide pill now, before the torture gets any worse........
